Default Slight grease leak behind front wheel hub

while the engine is out I thought I would replace the upper A- arms as the nuts are easy to access inside the engine bay. Well you know how that goes- Now I'm replacing the shocks, lower arms, lower ball joint, rebuilding the brakes etc etc.
I noticed some grease seeping out bhind the front wheel hub, even though there is no play in the bearing. Is this normal or do I now need to invest in a new bearing/seal kit?

Well that is not normal for grease to be thrown out of the bearing, I'd say it's time to service the Hub

Yeah I thought as much. In the absence of a press one of my least favorite jobs.

Dont need a press.

The seal is bad...you COULD just do a new seal, but..bearings are cheap and easy.

Just need a good LONG drift to punch out the bearing races..and a race install tool.

If youre Norcal, Ill help. Kind like front wheel bearings.

Ya, these two things, a 2lb hammer, and a pin to scrub/clean the hub up, and out...and new grease.

2-3hrs for the whole job.

that spindle and hub look terrible from corrosion,
now that its apart you might be better off sourcing parts in better condition,
That ABS sensor ring also looks bad.
Where is the backing plate?
The roads sure are tough in the UK

This side is the worst for some reason I’m replacing all the suspension parts and hoping to derust the hub. ABS ring should clean up but there is no way I’m going to get the ABS sensor off to clean or replace it. From past experience it’ll be seized solid. Disc guard and the other small shield seem to have been removed by the PO on this side and partly rusted away on the other so I’m going to have to track down some good used replacements
