88 S4 Antenna

88 S4 Antenna
The Antenna plug on my 88 S4 was cut for some reason on an aftermarket stereo install. I've followed the wire and it seems to go up into the dash behind the glove box. I suspect the replacement part is the antenna booster wire P/N 928 645 173 02. Has anyone BTDT to confirm I am correct in my assumption?

JE,
I think you are correct. What has been cut is the wire to the antenna booster that is located up above the glove box near the alarm control unit. The wire, and booster are all one unit on my 88.
When I installed my Roof-top antenna it had an integrated booster, so I removed my original. So I have an original that you can have for the cost of shipping if you want it?

It was cut right at the plug that goes into the radio to provide signal. From the part I have seen it looks like an antenna wire with plug at one end and a little black box at the other about the size of a small retractable tape measure. I guess the window antenna wire must plug into that box somehow. I haven't seen one up close from end to end.
