Default Want to buy: Set of H4 Euro headlights

Anyone have a spare set of these in good to excellent condition that they are willing to part with? I only need the main headlight units (glass and reflector).

I second that as I was going to list the same WTB post. So if there are two people out there who would like to sell I would be interested also.

Hi Guys,

Check with Barry Holtan username "White Lightnin'" , I am pretty sure he had a pair at SITM last Weekend and I don't think he sold them.

Cheers,

Dave

Thanks. His inbox is full, and he hasn't been on for over a week. Does anyone have his mail address by any chance?

Yep... standard, normal, US-spec H5's.

Close? Doubt it... unless it was a fire sale. Balked at a 50% price. Yeah... "close".

Will probably keep them now.

My apologies for the wild goose chase, that makes sense now since I remember they were still unsold at the end of SITM, Euros would have sold quickly, my bad.

But, at least we got Barry posting again :-)

Lots of folks are looking for this... pretty much 'hens teeth' in the USA. But new is still available (for $$)

Best bet for used are international breakers yards in Europe, UK is easiest to deal with but there you will mostly get the wrong kind of H4's (RHD).
Look to Germany/France/Benelux...

Or you can get the housings cheap and replace them with Roger's lenses. IIRC Mark A @ 928int also has a lot of the reflector housings without the lenses lying around in a bin.

Not really - Roger sells the lens replacements. The reflectors, bodies and bulb holders are all very different between an H5 and an H4.

Just curious, what is the market rate for a decent set of H4s? And is there a price difference between the older "no pip" and the "pip" ones?

I was able to score a pair of brand new 8" H4 from Euro Ebay last year for $500 shipped!
Just bought a set of mildly used lights for $500 shipped.
They are so rare.
Brand new from some OEM Porsche parts sellers are ~$350 each
