Default Belt Warning Light!

I/we did a TB/WP replacement with all new parts and now have belt warning light !
I disconnected connection at belt cover and measured 12 volts, wire coming to connection at belt cover.
Is this correct?
What reading should I get at belt cover connection?

How many miles between belt job and warning - immediate or have you driven car?

What tool did you use to set tension, what reading did you get, and did you measure at TDC after a few rotations of new belt?

When you ground the connection that goes to cover, does light extinguish?

All is good, using the Kemph tool and set on the high/tight side

Thanks to all!
