Default 928 Instument Panel connectors

When I changed the electrical part of my ignition switch I found that one of the instrument panel connectors (shown below) was missing the locking lever. Everything worked ok when I put it back together but now if I hit a bump the voltmeter dies.

I know it's too much to ask for just the locking lever but it the whole connector available? 928 Intl was nice enough to quote the whole harness for $800 but I think it's a bit of overkill.

Thanks
Tom

I just had a wiring harness installed. I will ask my P Tech this morning if my old one has the connector. Stand by.

Is there space to use a thin tie wrap at that end of the socket, looped round edge of connector on pod?

The connectors are available from Porsche. I purchased a set when I had my pod refurbished with all intention of replacing them. I was not able to get the terminals to release from the connector. I decided that discretion was the better part of valor and left the originals in place. I used a small pick to gently bend the connector pins inward to tighten their contact with the instrument circuit board and all has been well. Perhaps someday I'll source a used instrument harness from another '90+up car and see what special rituals are needed to get the pins free.

Part number for the 17 pin connector is 944 612 311 00, and the terminals are 999 652 380 12.

This is what I did. Just a zip tie around that end of the connector. It slides off of the end (with a little effort) when I need to unplug it.
