Making of a Murderer Steven Avery and a 1982 928
In case you didn't see the Netflix documentary on Steven Avery.
October 6, 2005 the flatbed arrived to pick up the car. Look carefully at the photo.......
Yup, that's him. He came into page Auto, shook Jim's hand and took the keys.
Last known photo of Teresa:
- 1985 - Convicted of sexual assault & attempted murder
- After serving 18 years of a 32 year sentence, DNA evidence cleared him 100% of the crime
- 2003 - Avery wins a $36 million lawsuit against Manitowoc County, its former sheriff, and its former district attorney for wrongful conviction and imprisonment.
- October 31, 2005 - Photographer Teresa Halbach disappears. Her last known appointment was a meeting with Avery, at his home on the grounds of Avery's Auto Salvage, to photograph his sister's minivan that he was offering for sale. Side note, Teresa's cousin is a good friend of ours, we never met her though.
- November 2005 - Steven Avery is arrested for the death of Teresa Halbach. Tried and convicted, now serving life in prison without chance of parole.

Page Auto doesn't appear anywhere in the documentary.

What a crazy situation. The documentary was an interesting watch. Shows how small the world is when you post something like this.
