It sounds like some Indian food that I would have to be "a little in the bag" to order.

I beliveve that Indish red wasn't used as a name for the colour in the US since it could cause a stir with the native Americans.

It could be a very exciting dish to order, if your are a cannibal and like having friends for dinner...

Hey Steve_C! I was at the frenzy and saw your car... was wondering if I'd ever know what wheels those were And then along came this thread.

Here are a few pics of my car at the frenzy:

(Gotta love disposable cameras )

Since the Sharkfest I've pulled and recolored my entire interior to a slightly darker tan.

Steve_C, I believe that's your car at the far left in the first pic.

And I'm in the white shirt in the middle of the pic on that last one.. talking to (edit)"Steve J" I believe it is in the navy blue shirt... if I am not mistaken.

Thanks, T_Maxx! (Is that a custom front spoiler on your car?? It looks nice )

It's hard because I saw so many cars and faces, but it's hard to know what forum nickname to place them with

Jober your car looks flawless!! I like the smoked glass... is that done at the factory? (Maybe we can teach each other a few things about our cars since we have similar year model Euros) Oh, speaking of.. how many different versions of non-US "euro"s were there in 78... I was wondering what region my car might have come from.

sweanders, your car looks amazing too... do you have anymore videos? I remember you posting a couple a while back

Annnd one more note, I think that was John Struthers's Weissach on the far right in the last pic. Am I right?

watercooler, Indish Rot or Indischrot or "Indian Red" are, like sweanders stated, other terms for guards red usually.

Certain years they offered Guards Red, and certain years they offered Indian Red instead. (maybe because of the native american issue like sweanders was saying?) I do believe there might be a *slight* variation in color between the two... or maybe just over the years the paint has changed (on car, and from factory--new touchup paint on an older car, for example).
