Default Mystery wires beneath steering column

I'm putting back together the pod on my '85 euro w/ alarm.

I seem to remember this hole in the lower plastic steering column cover just having a Phillips sheet metal screw and a washer.

But I also have some rouge flag connectors in a similar location, one blue, one brown. Is there some switch or alarm flashing light or something I'm missing? Can't seem to find any reference to switches or lights in the owners manual. Can't find and identify the wires in the diagrams.

What's missing?

Thanks in advance

You're sure these are not intermittent wiper rheostat or headlight washer wires? I'll look under mine to see if these are there and kuh-nected.

Yeah I have both rheos hooked up, for wipers and dimmer light. Also have buttons on both sides for odo reset (left) and intensive wash on the right.

Someone suggested clutch switch, which mine wouldn't have because it's auto. That must be it
