Default Mounting CE panel studs

Was reattaching wooden cover to CE panel, and noticed one of two studs the holes at base of cover locate on was very loose. In fact there was nothing holding it into its bracket just ahead of the CE panel, except for a nut on the cabin side. I've taken the stud out for now and photo attached.

I can see the wooden cover in PET (illustration 807-05) but can't find detail of the mounting/bracket. Is there meant to be a captive nut on the panel side of the bracket the stud located in? Any other suggestions please for mounting the stud? The cover seems pretty secure with the one stud that is firmly attached, but nice to have both. Maybe a nut on both sides of the bracket?

Thanks
