BTW - Today is the last day for the reduced Hotel Room prices - So get your room today and think about it later....at least reserve the room for our group and before you release it let us know.
They will be releasing the remaining rooms to the public and they will go fast.

Btw,
I just had Laura check and today is last day to get rooms at a discount. If you’re on the fence, make the resv. If you need to cancel, you can always do so.

Hans,
-There’s a group of us leaving Thursday from DFW around lunch time to head to Austin.
-We’re staying downtown that night.
-Drinks/Dinner off 6th Street before THE RECORD COMPANY concert.

Flooding in Marble Falls :

First few frames shows the River City Grill, Chili's, and a piece of the Hampton Inn. That's a lot of water. Glad it'll be all gone by the time we get there.

At least the River City lower deck survived. Did you see the video of the bridge in Kingsville being wiped out? Unbelievable.

We probably need to avoid water crossings on the Sat drive!

Our car show was planned for inside the horseshoe shaped "creek" on the inside left which is usually very small, so we will be relocating. The Kingsland Lodge where we have held the car shows in the past is, unfortunately, underwater, and much of Kingsland is being evacuated and closely monitored for flooding as well as a complete washout of one of the connecting bridges, with water occasionally threatening the fm 1431 bridge as well.
My own personal opinion is that in experiences of years past, of fires and floods, the area suffers from lack of tourism dollars due to these natural disasters. So it's best we do not cancel our plans for the sake of the community.

It'll be gone. Full confidence. Low water crossings are NOT gonna happen on this drive though. And I don't think we'll be traveling through Kingsville, either. I did see a video of Horseshoe Bay flooding (the other side of the lake) and empty Jetskis were floating down the river.

Chuck, that Detroit muscle car is not going to make the trip? Or is it that you just can't put miles on it for the depreciation hit? The Bullet wants to come. Drive it.

Ha!
I’m hopeful too Johnny!
To be honest, I hadn’t seen any of this until last night.
Didn’t know it was this crazy.

We are planning on staying in Austin that Thursday and hit the Record Co concert. Jarrod Brought it to my attention that one of the hotels we have booked is almost being touched by lake Austin.

Water recedes pretty quick. We just need some breaks in the action the next few days or so.
So:

Am I full bore in?
YES

DO we need to make some adjustsments based on
westher ?
MAYBE, water recedes fast if the rain stops

Will I bring the Detroit Muscle?
No.

Will the SILVERBULIT be there?
PLANNING ON IT! AS OF TODAY.

I have serious doubts I’ll be able to find any time to work on my own car before the event so I’m going to be rolling in with the Rover. Anyone need a seat?

I called Hampton inn a bit ago & they gave me a room at the group rate, $114.00. I'm sure they're happy to have someone requesting a room the way things look. Plan on hitting the music venue Thursday night, guess I'll have to look for someone wearing 928 paraphernalia.

Our event is 16 days away. It could be completely back to normal water levels by then, all we can do is wait and watch, and keep our fingers crossed!
