more important are the hazardously routed single wires .
Remove as many after market wires from your 928 as possible this will reduce the chances of fires and Bosch smoke .

Thank you for the feedback. I kinda figured it wasn't stock, but I am clueless as to what it is, unless it is somehow an aftermarket alarm?
There is a key fob to arm and disarm an alarm on the car..that I absolutely hate...

Mark -- what color are the car wires it connects to, or can you find something it connects to. Valuable clues available.

Not sure where it connects. It runs under the upholstry and I haven't gotten around to pulling up the carpet yet. Was hoping to tackle some other items first if this was something I could just disconnect now. Will do some more investigation.

Looks like two of the wires duck under the battery cover, so they used whatever wire they had on hand and RED for Pos and Neg and most likely no regard for the gauge that is actually needed
50/50 if they even fused it! Typical hack job.

FOUND IT
So when in doubt, cut the wire and see what happens.
It turns out that it is a wire to the Blapunkt radio.
Why the box is there... No idea.
Since I'm planning on installing new speakers and a retro looking radio (merely for light listening on joy rides, no plans for a 5 piece system for blasting) it's all coming out anyway.
