Default Any M28/43 0r M28/44 for sale in Europe

Hi there,
I wonder if anyone knows of any M28/43 or 44 for sale in Europe (EU).

I know there was just a few hundred of these delivered for ROW cars and that this is a longshot.

Picture for reference only.

Thankful for any pointers. :-)

There probably wont be any for sale in Europe, there are however many for sale here in the US for cheap compared to prices in the EU.

I have a US imported 86' with a M28/43 which needs a new engine. I know these engines are readily available in the US, but they are quite rare here in Europe.

I think my shop has an engine here. But he will tell you he must open the engine for an inspection. Maybe 928 International can sell you an engine from a recently running car.

If you want an engine which can be installed from Europe you need deep pockets! ;-)

Pistons are only real difference between US and ROW S3 32V engine. Its easier to turn US model high CR pistons to copies of low CR ROW pistons by modifying them than to find good ROW engine.

Landsharks has the engine no more. You can ad an S2 Engine in the car. ECU s are the same.

Im actually looking for a US engine for an US car, which is in europe. But if it was a ROW 5,0 that would be ok as well.

Thanks, I am looking for the 5,0L (M28/43-44). I have a 4,7 S2 engine and a S4 engine on the shelf.

993 turbo, what happened to the original S3 US spec engine that is in the car?
Maybe easier to repair it?

I would buy a running engine from 928 International. It´s the easiest way to fix the problem. I have a running engine in my partscar but this engine should fix my ROW S3 Manual car.

Yeah, sure, I was just checking if there were some engines closer. Shipping and VAT/Mwst from the US to Europe is a lot for a whole engine.

Using a short block and building the Engine from stock is very labour intense.

Assembly of an engine, with a new gasket kit is 2 days tops. I do everything myself. And, if I bought an engine, I would take it apart, to check tolerances, new new gasket kit, time camshafts etc.. anyways, so the labour would be the same.

My only issue is that these engines are quite rare in Europe, hence the question if anyone knows of any engines for sale in Europe. They are plentyful in the US, but not over here. :-)

I have one US block in store with little marks in one? bore from coolant. I can take pictures.
Got 2 S3 part cars. The matching Nr. block for my ROW S3 must stay here. I don ´t need the third engine.
