Question Options Code

OK, maybe it's the fact that I have just eaten 5 days worth of food in the last 3 hours but can someone explain what this option from the cars handbook means?

Option 415 - Widening of the Gauge on the Track of Rear Axle (21mm spacers, extended wheel studs)

In laymans terms please, brian soaked with brandy at this moment in time

And please don't ask what I'm doing reading the cars handbook at this moment in time, it was ony thing handy on route to the toilet

Merry Xmas

Mark

Hi Mark,
My car has the same option. It's exactly as described. The rear hubs are fitted with mega long studs. Between a standard rear wheel and the hub there is a 21mm spacer for each side. So the rear track is widened by 42mm.

This is a shameless plug , but I'm selling this option on eBay right now:

Porsche 928 944 21MM Wheel Spacers 72MM Studs

Bid is at $50 as of this writing.

(I also have 83 right and left rear hub carriers and hubs with 72MM studs that I will be listing later.)
