I-40 Sighting
Took the family to Williams, AZ over the last 2 days for the Grand Canyon Railways "Polar Express" Train ride. (www.thetrain.com) What a great time if you have small kids. A little Peppermint schnapps smuggled in a carry-on and into the adults Hot Chocolate made it festive event for us as well
Anyhooo. Sunday, on the way up, mile marker 130 Eastbound on I-40 past Kingman, 230pmish, i spotted a red pre 87, 928. I saw the car about 1/2 mi ahead of us and mentioned to my wife "That looks like a 928 up there". She strained to see it up the road..."your scary" she said and went back to her book" I blipped the cruise on the Expedition up to 95 from 85 , hit the speed limiter in the right seat and slowly caught up. The car was pre 87, a Euro (as it had the rear foglight) Also had an S4 spolier. The car had Florida plates.
My first guess was Lucky Eckman making one of his 928 cross country drives? I think he has a red euro? Just as i got up behind it, the car headed for the shoulder, in quite an abrupt motion i might add, and pulled over? I didnt get a good look at the driver or a chance to give him the thumbs up.
Anyone?
