Mystery Black Box Hooked to Ignition Computer
About 6 years ago someone on here answered the question for me, but God help me, I don't remember what the heck it was/is. I think Dave Chamberlain is the one who told me. (Lower Right in the pic) Any rate, it is from 928 Specialists, has a white wire going into the Ignition computer, a brown ground wire, and a vacuum line. It has a small opening in the back with a rheostat and an instruction sticker (Adjustment < - and +> ) on how to increase or decrease. I'm thinking it was some type of ignition retard control or something. Just flat out can't remember. Any help in identifying this unit will be appreciated although I'm sure it will also make me feel like an idiot when I go "damn, I knew that, why couldn't I remember!". LOL.

OK, after searching the heck out of 928 Specialists website, I "may" have found it. Although the picture isn't accurate to what I have, I'm betting that it's a "Potentiometer for Adjusting Idle Without Cats 87-95" .
It's p/n- 928 606 303 00. I "think" I remember being told that's what it was.
