Default Air pump removal, what is this thing?

I am doing the TB/WP job and I have temporarily removed the air pump and in/out hoses to have some more space. I was planning to reinstall it and let it hang there without a belt(in case ever needed), because I have an X-pipe. But now I'm very tempted to just remove it all to free up space. Just put it all in a box if it is ever needed again, I doubt it.

But - what is the thing on the pic? Some kind of air distributor valve i guess? Do I remove it? Where does that thin line go? What to do with that? I presume I just plug the air box hole?

Thanks in advance for any help. I have tried searching, found a billion threads on air pump, but not what I was looking for...

Air control valve that sends air from your air pump to the cats. Pull it and store it.

Like Adam said.

You can remove everything.
Keep all parts in case you ever need to put everything back.

That's what I did few years ago.

That's a vacuum line. You will need to cap it off, or if you are doing an intake re-fresh you can can cap it off at the throttle body.

I forget where the vacuum line goes, but you can just plug it. You can remove the hose that goes to the airbox, and leave the connection open - wait, I just realize that would be unfiltered air - better close it off. [Edit: I was correct the first time - you can leave it open.] The metal tubing that goes down towards the converters cab be detached at a joint from underneath. The tube that continues to the converters has to be blocked off. I did it by cutting the tube to get the mating nut, inserting a coin ground down to the right diameter (a nickle), and screwing the nut onto the tube to the converters.
