Not so much a restoration as a resurrection - Amazing!

Just one question, is the airbag functional? If so where does the "trigger" come from? (I guess that's two questions)

Very nice site, great pictures, awesome color.

I took a peek at your previous shark too - also very very nice. What size are the rear wheels on that one? They look stock, yet not?

Hello Niels, Paul, and Sean,

Thanks for the comments. I have a couple new sections to add. One of them is "updating the door lock posts to the flashing LED type" of later 928's. I finally worked it all out and it is not a difficult, or expensive project. It is also stock. I will post a note when I get a chance to add the new section.

Niels,

My previous 1985 S had custom made, 3 piece, 16 X 8 and 9's. The wheels (picture doesn't actually do them justice) were extremely nice highly polished chrome. I lucked into them in Vancouver Canada where the seller had ordered them for his 928, but as he waited for them to arrive someone met him in the street and offered him an insane amount of money for his car. He sold the car, and when the wheel arrived he put them in a friends auto parts store for sale. I got them for the ridiculous price of $750 usd including factory chrome caps. There was one hitch. The valve stems that were needed were of a type not sold here in Canada, so I put some standard stems in (pain to service), and before I could source the correct stems I sold the car.

The wheels were custom made somewhere in Asia (sorry, never found out where), and were very light, and of high quality.

Paul,

The airbag is good, but not operational. I think updating a car to an operational airbag configuration would be extremely difficult and dangerous.

How goes your engine situation?

Sean,

Congratulations again! . What is w/Earl Shieb Paint? Is this custom? Your car's color looks the same as mine.

Best regards, and Merry Christmas,
Mike

nice site, and as i've said before, cool car. but what happened to your first 928? Looks pretty mean in that shiny black and with the chromed design 90's,

Badger,

I sold my super clean 951 a month before the 928S. It was the dreaded house purchase asset liquidation.

BTW, can you find my pal's busted up blue Camaro in the S pics?
