Nooooooo.....the signal flasher. 1988 S4. The hazards work, all turn signals work. As soon as you turn the car on the turn signal light is going off on the dash (but not any outside lights). I swapped the relay. Same deal. Anyone? I'm stumped. All the dash warning lights are out. Marye something in the suspected shorted pod circuit board is causing it?

You need to sacrifice a calf to the 928 diety.

 

JE, - WAG - sounds similar to the failure mode on the digital dash (89+) when the fuse is blown. Swap the fuse (5A?) with a known-good fuse. Last time I was in my '89s panel I discovered that the fuse in the slot looked OK but wasn't.

You have me curious... let us know if was that fuse.
If that's the problem I hope you didn't toss the relay.

 

 

You might want to check the turn signal switch connections behind the steering wheel also.

Could be something in the pod, but I think something is actually sending it a signal to flash.........

Will do. Didn't toss any relays. It went back to spares stash.

I figure it's something back there as well. The pod is coming off tomorrow for a full investigation so stalk switches and everything else will be checked as well.
