Very nice, Andre. (Say, I can type André - is that correct?) Looks like we both can get back to working on our cars soon.
I'm selling my Max Jax....
Yes thank you. I saw yours also it looks very nice. It's nice to have a BIG man cave ! lol
You can type it either way, I never bother putting the accents, I find it a pain since I keep my keyboard in English all the time because to me ( I am in IT) computers are English, so..... lol
I would love a max jack, but I am not sure if my slab would take it, 4 inch thick with a rated capacity of 4600 PSI.
Can you PM me with your price. Timing is good right now since I have some spare cash !
I got a pair of the Unijacks. They work great. Got the front of the car up that little bit extra I needed to do the oil pan/rod bearings. Didn't even need to kick my other car out of the garage. I'll probably do a clutch job with them soon.
Yes this is still one of my consideration type of lifts, maybe a scissor lift also. My only dilemma ia that I have a big lump in front attached to me which prefers at least 21 to 22 inches clearance for me to reach certain locations, otherwise I get stuck on the oil pan !
I just got a newly built 24 x 24 garage with a 4 inch cement slab at 4600 PSI which doesn't permit me certain types of lifts, I have to work within those boundaries. My garage has a 16 foot garage door and I only have the toy in there so I could use the liftbars correctly, I would love to get some used liftbars here in Canada, because shipping costs are going to be expensive otherwise from the US.
Here are a few pics of my new toy shop:
Had just finished installing the new Costco floor tiles with all my T8 lighting on !
Almost complete. I have since moved my compressor and tool chest inside, just in time for my shocks replacement.
The only thing missing are the external lights, which are all done now.
Congratulations what a fantastic space you’ve built for working on your car. Looks warm, well lit, and the soft floor I’ve always wanted to put down in my garage (as I get older, cold cement loses any appeal it had).

Thank you, I am very proud of my new garage. And yes that flooring makes a whole difference, it was a $ 2000 well spent. It is heated my a 6000 watts heater attached to the ceiling and I keep at 10 degrees Celsius which is comfortable for doing physical work without sweating like a pig ! lol
Curt - why are you selling the max jax? Is there an issue with it? Just curious, as it looks like a nice solution.
I’m putting two full-size lifts in the new garage. They’re on a truck somewhere, right now, headed my way. I suppose I could have three lifts in the garage - a Max Jax is perfectly fine for changing tires, brake work, etc. Now that I think of it, if there’s a major project on the two-post lift, it would hinder smaller jobs I could do on the Max Jax. Maybe I’ll move it in - just need some new anchors.
Some of us have more than just 928's to jack up and many newer cars have even fewer "safe" jacking / jack-stand points as the 928. Frankly the 928 is one of the easiest cars to place on jack-stands I've ever worked on.
These would save me a lot of time with other vehicles.....if they are short enough to fit under them, which I think is the biggest drawback to this particular design.
+1
I have the room now (but didn't for many years) so I got into the habit of lifting 928's from the front or rear cross-member. In fact I still do since I don't have liftbars.
I've been doing that for years. Now I need to figure out how to get my 928 down from the jackstands that it's on... next time it comes down will have the 6 speed cross member on it so cannot use a jack on the center....
Andre, that is a beautiful space. Curt, also wonderful. I am jealous and you should be justifiably proud.
Some of us have fewer options and do what we can. @Rob Edwards is our avatar (12x20) but I try also (12x18 - a little less junk in there now but the footprint is the same). I am happy to report with Liftbars the car goes up in about 5 minutes.

Thank you, yes I am very proud because I was able to build one in my backyard. Here is the garage I used previously which is attached to the house and is only 11 x 19 which almost looks like the size of yours.
