Smart phone holder ideas
Has any one seen or made a decent looking smart phone holder? Here is a pic from the Porsche museum of a mobile phone adaptor.

I have one in my 87. I like it since it can be removed easily when at car shows etc. Sorry I could not find any pics of it installed. You buy the mount then a specific cradle for your device.

I like the Ram Mount...

Can use different sized phones so don't have to replace it when I upgrade my phone.

I have a magnetic WizGear vent clip that is on the driver door vent. Works like a charm and it is cheap. Allows me to look at the screen without having to be obvious.

Following. Windshield cups aren't legal in California and vent clips bend the vent and the clips.
I think the side mount in the photo would be an acceptable solution as long as it is easily removable.

I just never installed the center vent piece and just close the center vent flap in my 81 to hold my phone in place. As an added benefit, it keeps it from overheating too.
I got busted for that in high school at the end of the month after 2 years of no issues, and they tell me quotas don't exist...
So is not having a front license plate.

I have been using this for several years and have one in all my cars:
The only problem is that to make sure you place it in the correct position since the suction cup will be extremely difficult to release once set. It has never ever fallen off the windshield, unlike my Garmin GPS which falls off every day.
