I have also had good luck over the years at WRS as Mark suggested. Especially if the wheels have a crack, heavy road rash or need more than just a good sanding, paint and clear.
If its just the basics, I have a guy that's a bunch cheaper and he comes to you. His name is Roger and the company name is "The Touch". He does the road rash repair and Brake Caliber color changes at the Maserati/Ferrari dealer service center in Costa Mesa.
He did my 928 wheels, Because I was doing all four, he suggested considering one of the Maserati wheel colors that is very close to the Porsche factory D90 wheel paint color but it has just a little more metallic in it that makes it pop nicely as you will see in the picture. Its not recognizable IMO unless i point it out. It cleared the **** PCA Werks concourse judges in Monterey without a comment.
I can get the color code if you want it.

You could also contact Mike Brewer. He has a pal that can grind them back, repaint them and lacquer them and leave you pleased as punch.

Quick side note, I bumped into Mike are Einmalig this summer and two quick obersvatoins to pass along;
1) He isn't short, it is just that Ed is really-really tall.
2) He is a genuinely good guy. We had a nice conversation, he is quite gracious and the bits from the show that people find annoying are there for the show, not his actual personality.

I know a nice little shop located in South El Monte, they mainly refinish Porsche wheel but they will do any other as well. They are a long time Rennlist Sponsor and would be happy to meet an other Rennlist guy.
Oh, I just found their information: Wheel Dynamics

Nice work.
I actually have another set of wheels that I'd like some help on too. Can you guys remove chrome from a rim and return it to the same finish as the twists in the pictures above?
