My 81 locked me out once
windows up , key in the ignition , door open
gust of wind slammed the door shut , then heard the fateful sound of the door lock motor engage
ended up with 6 tow truck drivers from a tow yard making a game of unlock the car
it was coming down to witch window was the easiest to replace ,until one driver knew how to reach around the door lock shield and open it !
lesson learned

Where was he going? Taking his 928 to the local Indy to diagnose why his coolant fans were not running......which turned this into an even bigger problem.

Just keep that in mind the next time the engine is running and you are exiting the vehicle, roll down the window first.

Stories like this is why we have a rule in this house: No car is parked with the keys inside, ever, even in the garage.

as funny as it sounds..i do that with ALL of our cars now. F-Pace...'13 Explorer..05 LR3....and the 928 ...just cant trust the electronics sometimes or honestly I cant keep track of which one will lock under what conditions.
