Default Grrr, wrong injector bottom O-ring

This is the second time this injector shop has messed up my order. I got the injectors on the rail, and started pushing them down. Hmmm, very little resistance. Pull it back out and compare with the old O-rings and they are too small!

I'll contact the company tomorrow and see if they will make it right. All 8 are wrong, could have been a real problem.

Well, they didn't seem too concerned. Tried to explain to the girl who answered the phone, she tried to transfer me to someone in the back, and they didn't answer. I'm not going to bother them anymore, I have the right O-rings I'll just put them on myself. InjectorRX in Houston TX. Next time I'll use someone else.

Make sure they put the thin spacer on instead of the thick one. If it's the thick one the larger o-rings will bulge out and possibly shoot the pintle cap off in to the engine.

You could have taken them to alabbasi over in Dallas. He's got a Bosch fuel injector cleaner IIRC. He hasn't been to a breakfast GTG in a while, but I know he's still around. (I know: Now you tell me!)

When I sent injectors to Cruzin Performance, it seems that I was required to let them know what engine the injectors I sent were going to be installed on. Richard from Cruzin' called me and told me that due to liability concerns he could not install the correct 928 required bottom O rings in place since the injectors I sent were Ford injectors. I asked if he could include the correct O rings for my engine in the return package but not install them and he was happy to do that. I understood his concern and have always appreciated that he called and worked out the solution to a potential problem.

And if they put the wrong one on, I just bought 50 of them because I needed 3.

I have the thin spacer in there, and the correct O rings from Roger. The injection stuff is back in place, and I've removed the rubber fuel hoses from the back of the engine to renew. I've found a hyd shop near my house that says they can make these up except that U shaped one of course.

As I was trying to test the injector seating, found out my 4 month old fuel pump has gone Tango Uniform. sigh.

Put the cooling system back together, including the fan shroud, and replaced the wire connectors at the loom as they were somewhat burnt. All I need now is a working fuel pump and fuel hoses and I'll be ready to test the inj and maybe start it. Might do the PS hose while it's apart, but that means jacking, and supporting again. double sigh...

The rear fuel hose is still avail for your car. If it's the car I'm thinking of. Otherwise swing over and I can make up what you need, just need your old ends.

I've got the wires for the fan harnesses, just need connectors from rog.

88 S4. I've got all my old ends, ground the crimped part off, so I might come by later this week. Need to pick up a pump anyway. The wires for the fan are fine, I just needed to replace the connector ends as they got a bit melty. I was hoping to get it on the road for this Sat but with this fuel setback, I'm not going to try to rush. May just wait for parts until the bkfst on Sat and have Rog bring it with.

Doc - I have your pump sitting here and if you are referring to the infamous U hose I have that ( GB make) if you need it. If you have to ask how much dinero then you can't afford it 8>). Let me know if you need the connectors and rubber boots for the fan harness. I can do special delivery (naked) on Saturday morning.

All part of the service but all decline this offer for some reason and I have never figured out why.

LMAO Roger!! I've never tried that approach, but I don't think it would work for me either.

But be careful, in light of today's environment, folks could go all Harvey Weinstein/Charlie Rose/Matt Lauer/Garrison Keillor/George H.W Bush on you.
