[QUOTE][Did they add an Aux input ? /QUOTE]
Unfortunately, I did not add the Aux input.....
[QUOTE][Are these radio correct for '89 GT? Sorry, never mind. This is for an older 928 /QUOTE]
These are not for "older" cars. This was the factory unit in my 1990 GT. I thought I read that these are correct
for 1987 thru 1994 911, 928, 930, 944, and 964 cars.
Please correct me if I am in error. thx

RENO SQR 46 should be the correct radios for S4/GT. Reno 2 looks to be an older model of the Reno line, right? SQR 46 looks to be more advance. ?

Seems to me the Reno 2 would come after the Reno? The factory literature is confusing on this point. The '87 and '88 service info book list the Reno SQR46 as the default radio for the US market, while the '89 Service info book lists the Reno SQR48. I'd guess that this is the Reno 2, but there is nowhere in the literature I can find that confirmed. Both the '90 service info book and PET refer to the Reno 2, and list it as 911 645 164 00, so it must have been in use in '90. Both the '89s I have owned have had a Reno SQR46.
So- for '87-89 US market cars, option M158 got you a Reno SQR46 (Blaupunkt # 7 644 890 070). I will go out on a limb and say that M158 in '90 got you a Reno 2 (Blaupunkt # 7 647 881 170), and in '91 it got you a Stuttgart. (Blaupunkt # 7 649 881 070)

If this is correct for my 91 GT, I'll take it. My COA only shows "Reno Radio"
Appreciate any expert opinions!

I dunno, I think your COA is wrong- the '91 Service info book and PET pretty clearly call out the Stuttgart for the '91 US models, so I don't think the Reno 2 is correct for '91.

Merchauser, don't worry about not selling that Reno 2 immediately, it's correct for many 1990 Porsches, I'd put it in the classified section so the 964 guys can see it as well. ~$800 for a known-good Reno 2 serviced by Massoud is a great price.

Thanks Rob,
BTW, I've got a CD 2 and a CD changer for a GTS In my spares box if anyone is interested.

I am pretty sure that you guys managed to figure it out. Using the pictures above, the order of usage was:
1.) Reno
2.) Reno 2 (basically same as Bremen SQR 46, delivered on Euro models). Seen several on 90 Euro GTs.

3.) Stuttgart (basically same as Bremen SQR 49). Seen at least 1 on 91 GTs.

The problem was that the models though basically the same occasionally had different names for different markets. I have 4 Stuttgart like units (2 x Köln RCM 40 and 2 x Bremen SQR 49) and love the radios in those decks. The Reno model has slightly better sound with the built in amplifier in my opinion.
