Radiator Fans '93 GTS 5 speed
Everyone:
Discovered a strange problem with the radiator fans on the GTS. With the ignition on or car running the fans turn on to full speed when I shut down the HVAC controls to off (all the way to the left).
What's going on here? Doesn't make any sense.

It's not a bug, it's a feature.

Rob: So when the HVAC is shut off:
“Supply of outside air switched off. For brief operation, e.g. when passing through disagreeable odors. At temperatures above 32 degrees F/0 degrees C the inside air is additionally dried by the air conditioner which switches on automatically.”
The radiator fans are on because the A/C?

Yes, if it's above 32oF, and you put the slider in recirc mode, the HVAC turns on the AC, and runs both radiator fans on high. The fans will run even if the ignition key is only in position 2, without the engine running.
