Default 928 GT Oil pressure connector fix

Does anyone know if the three pin connector at the end of the harness that hooks up to the oil pressure sensor kan be opened someway?
Two of the three cables going into the connector miss some isolation close to the connector.
(Only undamaged cable is the ground)
Need to weld in new cables i believe?

Thanks for some advice from this knowledgeable group

Cut back the rubber to expose enough wire to crimp/solder another wire. I did this on my GTS 12 years ago and it worked.
The connector is not available as a separate part.

Roger--

Curious if the electrical connector for the oil level switch fits over the pins for the later oil pressure sender. If so, there may be an option to cast a silicone "boot" around three of those terminals.

That is a possibility - I will see if I can check the fit.
Good thinking Batman.

It’s a pretty solid fit. But instead of a 50/50 chance on getting it right with a 2 pin sender, now you have a few different combinations.

The connector 'keys" to the sender, only fits one way. I happen to have an example car in the garage that I can use to verify the relative pin locations. The car will be on the lift in the next few days for pre-hibernation servicing, an opportunity to nail down the locations. Might grab some measurements on the rubber part exterior and the pin spacing to see what it might take to get a mold for a silicone piece. This could be stupid-easy with a simple one-piece open-cavity mold and something as easy as windshield sealant (if you don't mind black...).

Thanks to all chiming in here with good thoughts.
Will be really interesting to see what comes out of this.
My wires are bad next to the connector so really would need to splice new cables on to the pin connectors inside the black plastic mold.
Does anyone have any experience of open it up to get to the connectors inside?

See post #2. It is a molded part so will not come apart - you need a knife.
