Question pressure dampner & pressure regulator
Euro 928S CIS 1982 4,7L auto trans. Original paint, complete. Front spoiler plus mouldings came separate with the car. Needs paint corrections. Spot repairs.
Many thanks for all the info posted here. I am a new Porsche guy with almost zero 928 knowledge.
After many hours of reading posts not so much anymore. Now I know how to check and fix pressure plate flex, relay, relay, relay, fuel line replacement, cleaning grounds and how to adress fuel pressure loss after shut down and much more.
There is however a question I would like to ask:
Why is Porsche using additional pressure dampners and regulators?
My 1982 BMW 520I has CIS. The main components are pump, accumulator, filter and fuel distributor with built in system pressure valve.
So, a basic CIS system can function very well without dampners and regulators.
Thanks in advance.
