Default Should I replace 5 month old oil cooler O rings?

MY 1990GT: repaired my leaky oil cooler a few months ago, and installed new O rings. Leaking again after a meeting with a parking curb.....repaired again and ready to reinstall.

do I NEED to replace these 5 month old O rings with new ones? once compressed are they toast?

I don't mind getting new ones, its just gonna set me back a few days with nothing locally in stock.

Certainly don't want to have it leaking from poor judgement.

I'd recommend always replacing seals and O-rings if disturbed, regardless of age.

I replaced O-rings later finding out the oil cooler had a leak in the core where it attaches to the tank in that area. Quite common I understand. I had a radiator shop repair it. Still leaked. Roger used to carry refurbished units but found out they did not hold up. I bit the bullet and spent the $700 on a new one.

the oil cooler in my car was replaced with a new Porsche unit less than 3k miles ago
