What is with these seats in my 1979?
Darklands: "Till 84 the sport seats are from the 911 with flat surface and for tall people way to small."
Is there a thread somewhere on the group re the early 911/928 seats? I have what i think are 'poorly recovered' front seats in my 1979 but now im not so sure... somedays they look a lot like 1981 Competition S but then I was told those seats were non-powered. Both of my front seats have power controls. Your thoughts??
What is in the front atm.

Hi, I am wondering if someone can assist with a couple of questions. I have a 1991 S4 and I want to have the seats restored - the leather is too far gone to fix. I wanted to know if anyone has any recommendations for restoring the seats to as close to factory as possible? Also I have a second question. My car's current seats have two adjustment button dials. I have seen photos of cars with three adjustment button dials. What does the third set of switches do? Thanks for any assistance.
Welcome to the forum, by the way! You should make an intro thread with pics of your 928! In case you didn't know already, a MUCH better search tool around here is to just use google and add "site:rennlist.com inurl:928" to the end of your search.

The 01/1988 GTE prototype has the full sport seats with variable heat on the driver side and partial power.

Compare to the seats in my 1979-
Mine are 'raised/bulbous' so may have been recovered or perhaps due to uneven wear?

What material were the M383/387 seat covers made of in a 92' GTS? The car is a very basic spec without leather on the dash / interior etc. Would this be leatherette?

I would like to add some pics that I have collected over the years of very nice 928 sport seats. Seats are a big deal in a car, as we have all taken long trips in uncomfortable seats in other vehicles which make you squirm and leave you with a sore back. My 928 seats are in good shape and were always comfortable no matter the distance. But I wanted to upgrade to Champagne seats one day, unfortunately he has disappeared. But some of these are his work I am sure.

My favorites, I don't know if these early design ones were "sport" but they are the best I have seen. (are they now Roger's?) The leather and the stitching are flawless.
