Default detachable steering wheel

I just installed the detachable steering wheel kit from www.ltbmotorsports.com. If you have a MOMO or SPARCO steering wheel and adapter the kit will work. Its great if you have a cage with side bars and you need extra room to get in.

Makes a pretty good theft deterrent also an " ice breaker " as you walk around the bar .........wheel in hand ..........

Haha Jim!
also from a past thread :Lou mount some 7x15 rear rims with 225X50 X15 tires or even 195x 50 and you will have much lower gearing , less rolling resistance , less air resistance and it just might do 150 + with the mirrors off....... The big wide tall rear tires / wheels cost you in several ways . most things in life are a compromise wheels / tires are one of those .--- with the smaller tires wouldnt the car rev out faster and lose at the top end. I know right now the 285/30/18 im running on the rear match the speedo perfectly atleast the speedo matches the police speed trap.

the 285x30x18 tire turns 840 revolutions per mile , stock 225x50x16 is 835 revolutions per mile so yes your speedo is nearly correct . drop down to a 205x50x15 and it turns 894 revolutions per mile and your speedo reads maybe 7 % off because of the effectively lower final drive . That same increase in RPM at the same speed should be more effective at getting the car to pull better in 5 th gear at top end . Your max horsepower is probably between 5000 and 5,500 RPM .....of course for a drag racing start you would just shred them and cornering capability is somewhat less . Like I mentioned a compromise .

Lou-
Vinny's camaro is the one with the blue fade to black paintjob right? I was firends with the PO that had a beat 305 in it. I can't wait to see what it runs now that he's had it for a while....everything he owns gets done up right, it's a good motto.

Hey Lou,
I'm heading to VT Friday afternoon (hitting the slopes at Dave's place at Okemo) and plan on stopping in LI on the way home Monday to check out Tarek's GTS motor/ van. We may hit the Jap. restaurant again if you want to go. this is an open invite to any other LI 928'ers.

Gerry,
its very easy with no hassle, its not like some brands where you have to push a button in to release.

Eric,
sure im up for it, i have had a craven for some tuna jaw. I just have the bowling league at 8:30. when you get to Tareks give me a call.
