Default Engine Mounts for a 1979

Having read all about different engine mounts for the 83 and up models....

What about those of us with the OB? Specifically 1979 model year?

Cheers

We stock them - both original and aftermarket

It seems that the trend used to be to convert to the later style mounts. Now that thinking is out the window and the original style is appreciated for its longevity.

I converted mine as both my originals were split and I have the parts conveniently available to switch to the hydraulic mounts. If I had to do it over again, I would have simple retained the original style with absorbers

Do you have them out of the car? Unless you do and can see there's a problem, there's likely nothing wrong with them.

The later, hydraulic mounts leak and cause vibrations. The original-style are solid to start with.

Glen,

I don't have them out, but assumed they were liquid filled (like my other German cars).

Good to know they are solid. Not going to worry about it at this time.

Cheers
