Default Rear Wiper issue

Hi, I did a search however I couldn't find a solution. My rear wiper motor wasn't working so I removed it and found one of the wires was not connected. I soldered it back on and refitted the motor. It now works fine, however it won't engage the wiper when I close the hatch. Well it sort of does. When I turn the wiper on it sweeps across once and then disengages.

It seems that the bottom of the wiper won't reach the top of the motor rotation arm. Any ideas?

UPDATE: I should have searched a bit longer. Looks like the bit that connects to the bottom of the wiper assembly is worn. I am sure I will be able to find something to repair it with.
