Default Did the rear suspension design stay constant over the years?

I know spring rates and shocks changed over the years, but did the design (arms and locations etc) stay the same? I think so, but wanted to double check.

MYs 86.5 and up have a different "bolted" mounting point to the body for the lower swing ARM.

Thanks Dave, thanks for the response,

Can that be harvested from a later car to an earlier one? If so worth doing?

Bump, anyone know? Shocks appear to all interchange, right?

Thanks!

No, however as you know anything can be done with a welder.

The 86.5 and later have three mounting bolts for the LCA to bolt up to the body, earlier have a bracket welded to the body.

IIRC the shocks and mounting points are the same.

I have a 912 project, believe I am not looking for more things to do with a welder!

Thanks Dave, will leave well enough alone.
