Has bump-starting messed up my clutch

On the other hand, I find it difficult to believe that a few bump starts will screw up the clutch.

This is a theme on this car. There was NO bushing left in the rear shifter linkage when I got it. Made for interesting shifter behaviour..
I drove an 85 from Martha's Vineyard MA to Fort Worth TX without a bushing in the shifter. 1st, 3rd, 5th.

Swaybar notice how small that opening is?
Its next to impossible to put a bushing on with the arm in the way as it has no place to go.

The later bell housings have bigger openings thus making for an easy bushing swap with the release arm in place

Yes, I agree.

But dropping the clutch is not that hard to do.
