Hi, this is has been hard to find on searches - and in some pictures it looks like the tailpipes are black. My 79SC has a black tailpipe that looks stock.

This is for my 78 (79 model year) euro 5 spd. I just got rid of its holy Ansa, by having a rear muffler bypass-to-twin-tailpipes fabricated. Its a nice neat solution and sounds surprisingly restrained unless under load past 3k- about right for the car IMO.

The tail pipes are side exit, twin slashed/staggered at my request to look OEM - but they are in stainless of course, and just look too bling for my taste.

I want to dull them down..so can someone tell me what color they would have been at delivery?

Perfect, Satin Black will look great. Going to fab a heat shield too, looks like they were also black.
