Default Door Sill Revits

Hi All

Are the black plastic Door Sill Revits a std size I can pick up somewhere or need to be specific for the car?

I went to order some online from one of our reliable 928 Vendors, but I'm sorry, $15 to ground ship 2 plastic rivets seemed obscene to me ...

Suggestions?

John --

Ask your vendor to just throw the rivets in a first-class envelope. No need for a padded shipping box or even a padded envelope when they will fit taped to a piece of folded BMT in a #10 envelope.

We ship First Class on small items - rivets would be about $4.

i want to mention that these rivets easily bend on insertion, particularly if sill hole alignment isn't right on. FURTHER, if the sill isn't exactly in position, the seal attached to the door sill exerts sufficient pressure on the door to increase the amount of pressure necessary to close the door and increases the pull force on the door handle necessary to open the door.

More sill rivet trivia

New sills (78 to 91)from the factory no longer have the rivet hole - so if going new the rivet is now redundant. Unless you want to drill a hole that is 8>)
