HVAC fiber optic replacement
I am in the throes of rebuilding my HVAC unit ('87 S4) due to a failed relay. That was simple enough.
I have also received and installed the Jager LED light bulb replacement. With just a little trimming of the LED base to allow for better seaating in the socket, the resulting backlighting (red) is great.
I have also drilled out the sliders, expecting much improved lighting there, as well.
However, it seems that my fiber optic lines have died. I have no slider lighting, and no fan switch backlighting, as should be supplied by the fiber optic lines.
Is there replacement fiber optic cable available from any of the Rennlist providers or their contacts?

I have ordered some fiberoptic cable from this source, and will report back on their products. Order quantities are reasonable for our needs.

The fiber arrived today.
The 1mm single strand coated cable is slightly smaller dia. than the OEM fiber to the sliders. It can be secured in a similar fashion as the original or bonded in some other way.
The 3mm multi-fiber coated cable is slightly larger than the OEM cable to the fan speed bezzle. The hole for the fiber can be enlarged enough to accomodate the cable, or the cable can be stripped of the covering and then it fits.
