Default Help Identify Part - Upper Window Seal

Need help identifying whether I have the right part. It is the upper window seal, a long rubber piece with a felt coating. PET calls it a "window guide". For the passenger side, there are two numbers that are identical except for an alpha at the beginning. The numbers are A 928 537 324 03, and 928 537 324 03. The only difference is the "A". The part I got from Roger is the one without the A in the designation. It looks different from the part I pulled out. There is an extra flap of felt/rubber on the inside of it.

Does anyone know what the "A" means? I find the early cars sometimes frustrating because there are unique bits used, that are not common to later cars.

A defines an old part number in PET. In this case the old and the new are the same part number.
Part used to be 928 537 324 02 - you have the right part but whether it matches what was exactly in the car originally only you will know because the part design is improved.

Thanks Roger. It is a bit different. I'll post some pictures in a bit. Really struggling to get it in, but I remember doing the driver's side about 6 or 7 years ago, and that was no fun either.

Here we go - it's kind of like trying to pack 10 pounds of you know what into a 5 pound bag. The new seal is considerably fatter than the old one, and has an extra notched flap running along the entire inside edge that the original did not have. I do understand that the original was under compression for many years, but even taking that into consideration, the new seal is much thicker. I got it in, but the fit is not nice and tight,. I am worried about water getting in.
