Default Sunroof woes.

Can someone direct me to the thread that contains info on the sunroof, pls, mine has decided to only open about an inch but will close completely, has worked fine until today.85 928s3

What happened on mine was that one of the drive cables broke.
When the roof open only one pull and it jams. When closing the roof, the broken cable can still push, so it closes.
Getting the roof open to remove the cover in order to get to the sliders and cables was tricky.
I pulled the broken cable back, using a flat tip screwdriver to push where the drive gear would usually sit.
You can then push the inside cover up at the edge and move the slider block backwards. This allow the back to drop and you can push the panel back and follow the noddy guides from there.
Take photos as you go - it help.
