I've owned 23 Porsches, 20 of which were 928's. Most of them were a struggle with the dipstick versus upper coolant hose.
I cut mine and shaped it just below the finger pull, and I find it now fits snugly and stays.
YMMV.

You think your dipstick lives in a tough neighborhood?
Imagine dealing with all the riff-raff who've moved in here.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Its still actually easy to reach and remove - though in the garage seeing how to reinsert it into the tube requires a flashlight.

PS those intake tubes sure did accumulate some dust, one more thing for the list...

Impressive!! I've had that separator for a decade but have yet to get around to installing it. You have a different upper rad hose which actually seems to alleviate your clearance with the dipstick. My BMW has no dipstick at all. Who's the Einstein who decided that!
