I have nothing against the look of the original handle, but I feel it is clumsy to handle for quick shifting. I don't know how you guys break it, though. Maybbe I just don't have enough muscles... ;-)

While on the topic of the auto tranny, are their any upgrades for the 3spd auto, such as to make it shift harder, quicker, etc...?

I have heard of someone who purchased a used 4-speed automatic and upgraded his car. Not sure, if that is an easy job, though...

On the later cars it's vaccum controlled. Check out the technical stuff on : http://members.rennlist.com/v1uhoh/

They were Christmas presents from last year that I returned to Jager and got the newly released Linen/Burlwood shifter. I think it was about $220 for it all going by my faded memory.

Hoping to get the rest of the burlwood interior this Christmas!
