My '87 car has recently had a windshield replacement, and the local glass shops were unable to find me one with the radio antenna in it.

What are you fellows using to replace the windshield antenna in these pre '89 cars?

Are you replacing the antenna signal boost amplifier or is it unnecessary?

 

You can use a hidden antenna that you mount under the dash. Pretty common and easy to get a hold of online.

 

Same question but is there someone that actually has a hidden one that works, and if so which one and where exactly did they place it? The online reviews are pretty mixed and mostly negative that I've read. Was anyone ever sucessful finding a shark antenna that worked?
