I use Axcess Metal Masters. They do not squeal, minimal brake dust, and they even work great on the track.

I think those were Hawk Blues. Very agressive pad for the street (but they sure stop good!), really a track pad that needs some heat for good braking. Need to clean the wheels often!

As for the "best pad" for the street. Depends on what you mean by best. Low dust, last long, quiet, cost, brake feel.....
The metal masters are a long wearing, low dust pad for every day street driving. I hear the Hawk HPS are pretty good with just a bit of dust.
I did run Hawk HPS Plus for dual purpose street and DE (very nice feel), but lots of dust on the wheels.
Good luck!

I don't care about dust...I want a pad that bites hard and does not need to be hot to work. Maybe the pagids I have are best?

I run the Hawk Plus on mine (With the big black upgrade). INCREDIBLE feel, and stopping power. VERY resistant to fade. In the words of a former 928er that I let drive it at a DE: "It doesn't feel like a 928! Makes the car seem 1000 pounds lighter!""

BUT - They squeal like a damned pig under light pressure.
