WOW, I GUESS MY TEST FOR A SENSE OF HUMOR CAME UP NEGATIVE. I actually planned on going back to "safe mode" after this string. Guess I have to expedite the endeavor.

Being that I only got as far as someone asking me my location to which I answered, hearing no more from them I have listed all my available 928 parts on Ebay.
WALTGWBOOKER is the user name.
Thank you

Will do as soon as i get to the PC. In the meantime, I need the rubber cowl seals and nuts for the windshield wiper studs (through the cowl). I am willing to barter from the items I have ( within reason-not the exhaust system, etc. obviously).

A couple random points:
Written text makes it fairly difficult to determine underlying emotion. That's where caps, italics, bold and emoticons (smiley faces) come in.
Generally, all caps is perceived as "shouting". It's considered rude unless there's a good reason for it.
I understand where you are coming from as far as the drafting background, but this is a different environment.
Also, spacing is nice. Break up a "wall of text" into very short paragraphs with a space between them and it's a lot easier to read.
The 1st Amendment doesn't guarantee free speech under all conditions without consequences. It simply prevents the government from passing laws that restrict free speech.
For example, you can go to Harlem and shout racial slurs while waving a Confederate Battle flag. You will not get arrested or face any legal ramifications. You will likely face some sort of consequences, though.
If you follow the etiquette and general customs of the 'online community', you are more likely to get positive responses and feedback. If not, don't be too surprised if your questions go unanswered. There are idiots on here (and other forums I read) that I will not respond to because of their prior behavior.
Onto parts:
Finding the "little bitty" parts can be a challenge. Not the purchasing aspect, but the locating aspect.
One easy solution is to get a copy of the PET parts catalog. It has all the part numbers. Available as a free download from Porsche, or as part of the Moorehouse CD.
With a part number, searching 928 International or 928 Specialists is a lot easier.
Roger at 928s R US, however really doesn't have much of a website. He stocks parts for a bunch of different cars, with (roughly) a bazillion different parts.
For him to construct and maintain a site with all those parts would be a full time job for an entire IT team.
BUT...
He usually answers his own phone and is very pleasant to talk to. He really knows and loves these cars and is very good at making sure you get what you need on the first order. As noted above, you can tell Roger what job you are doing and he will send you a complete "care package" with all the parts, gaskets, fasteners and the little 'bits and pieces' that tend to break during disassembly.
You can also say "I need the thingamajig that attaches to the watchamacallit" and he will know what you mean. He will also warn you that the doohickey next to it often breaks during removal, it's only a few bucks and if you get lucky and it doesn't break, you can send it back.

And here I was, thinking that the all caps discussion had been put to rest.
I will keep your advice in mind.....just a couple of thoughts and Im done.
You should have let me know this BEFORE I paid to join for two years.
"environment"
I was born in the heart of Harlem.
The U.S. is my environment. I speak the language of my environment.
I am fully aware of the double edge sword called the 1st Amendment, therefore I wont go to a Long Island neighborhood acting out of sorts either.
If someone has conditions on communicating with me, It leaves more time for me to communicate with people that do so without conditions. It is those that are worth my time and effort.

Walt - there are really lot of people on this 928 rennlist who know a whole heck of a lot of stuff about 928's.
Sometime its best just to adapt so you can keep them all on your side so when you need them they will help you.
I've been on here for >20 years and I still learn new stuff every week.
Alan

I do appreciate the offerings on this forum, do not get me wrong. I can offer alot as well, and will do so if asked. I thought that I was complying with the rules, but I can tell you for sure that we are all forged from our circumstances and are who we are. I tend to protect my boundries (however generous they might be).
