Putting my Pod back in after a refresh and the Light Switch has a Grey and Yellow wire that came out.
I will put it back in with the proper connector but where does it go ?
In the picture it can go into 1 - 2 - 3 or 4.
Can somebody help me pleeeeassse !
THX awesome 928 people !!
BTW I already fixed the Black and Blue wire -that one came out also.
No Duckman that whole plug is back is back in there taped up - this is the Lights switch, I labeled it when I took it apart.
Just need to confirm this wire goes nowhere.....
I think you have the wrong plug identified as belonging to the headlight switch. The wiring diagram for US 1984 shows 10 terminals on the headlight switch and only 4 on the fog light switch.
I just finished performing a LED instrument light conversion in my 1981 US-spec 5 speed car & I saw the exact same wire cut in exactly the same way. I spent a LOT of time in the wiring diagrams and with a multimeter. For my 1981, this wire is electrically connected to the multi-function switch in dimmer switch position 56b. This position is not shown on the wiring diagrams (not used) in MY 80 and newer, but is used (different color) in 78 & 79.
Note that I only have the US wiring diagrams - I have no idea what this wire is used for on the Euro cars.
My final decision here was to push the wire back up into the dash and ignore it.
You're right ammonman it's the fog lights switch -
Ok everybody I'm just going to cap it and leave it there.
Thx peeps for your help !!!
Almost there just gotta finish the rest of the interior and i'm on the road !
