Default knock sensors

Hi,

I got an error on the rear knock sensor when running diagnostics.

Can I get to it without removing the intake?

Nope, top end refresh time.

Actually, the rear one is sorta accessible, but you have to remove so much you might as well do the top end and replace it all.

Sean's right, those buggers are way down in there ... I'm still amazed I was able to change an ISV hose with the manifold in place, not many people have ever done that!

I have small hands and was able to replace the rear sensor in situ. I also donated blood that day.

Sometime knock sensor fault codes are spurious. Clear the codes, then test drive the car to be sure they are real.
