Default Ideola's garage

Anyone purchased items from Ideola's? I'm looking at the g31 short shift kit for my '79 924, wondering if there's any experience here?

Also, confirm if g31 is my transmission (snail shell, reverse up to the left)?

Thanks.

He's a regular on the 924board.org. I've purchased from him before with no problems. Very knowledgeable on the toofahs.

thanks kcoyle.

So is it easy enough to say my snailshell (reverse up to the left, first directly below) is a g31?

yup.

"G31/01" is the snailshell (aka- Porsche-Getrag) 5-speed for Europe/RoW '79-'84.
"G31/02" would be the same, but for USA,Japan up to '80.

Wow, incredible! Arrived today, installed very easily. Everything went fairly well, except for the plastic bushings; the clearances were too tight and I could only get one of them on.

Taking her out in a little bit to see how it works. Feels really good so far, just shifting in the garage.

Very nice, way it should have been to begin with from Porsche/VW. Lack of plastic bushings don't seem to matter much. Supposed it would be even tighter if I could get them on, but certainly tighter than with the original.

Nice job Ideola!
