Default 924 dry sump system

Can anyone please clarify when porsche used a dry sump on the 924. i have seen pages on the internet stating the carrera GT got a dry sump system but i am unable to see this on the PET. i have a feeling it may have only been the GTR. any help

I thought this was the case. although i was reading one of those 911 porsche world editions about the carrera GT and GTS comparison. and they state that the GTS has dry sump with an oil tank in the back. i realise these magazines rarely tell fact.

could have been a modified GTS , i have seen a few that where modified for racing and had dry sumped added afterwards, but did not come from Porsche as such....

Perhaps a bit off topic, but just so you are aware, Pace Products in the UK manufacture a BOLT ON dry sump setup for the 924. Steve Bassington is running one on his monster 931, and I am considering one (budget permitting) for my 931 Ultra Wide Body project. Here is a response to an email inquiry I sent back in April:
Dan,

Sorry for the delay. In getting back to you but I needed to track down the information.

The pump and bracket assembly is £507.15
The 38 tooth pump pulley is £56.70
If you require the crank pulley blank that Steve Bassington had the price is £37.00
The 270L075 is £9.00
The oil in assembly is £38.00

These prices are subject to carriage and vat

Our lead time currently is 10 weeks as this is our busiest time of year

Regards

Tony
