I did not watch the episode of "Pinks" last night but when I walked in this morning all my coworkers had to tell me that an 800 hp 924 lost to a minivan???

ANYONE see this craziness?

IIRC (friends told me about this awhile ago), the 924 had a SBC with a blower, and broke down on the first run.

I saw that last night. The rear looked a lot like a 928 though If I remember right.

I saw it and the 924 didn't have that much power. The Pinks website shows the racers; the 924 guy had 313 hp on motor, 488hp on nitrous, the minivan had 650 hp on motor, 1100 on nitrous. Before the race even started I thought this is a **** poor matchup, obvious the minivan would win. The 924 broke downon his first pass, they picked a replacement from the crowd. I think he drove a 79 canaro or something like that, he destroyed the minivan, and the camaro guy ran no nitrous, pure power. Last run I think he gave the Nitrous Van like 5 lengths(might be wrong on length) and he cruised past him.

What had the guy with 924 done to the engine to get 313? or does the show give that kind of detail?

He had a 283CI Chev engine in his 924. Check the Pinks site out it shows all the details.
The thing was an abonimation, looked like a hodge podge of parts and cars. I am not saying it was slow,it would be fast with that power and light weight 924. The Chev engine would be alot of weight up front compared to the lightweight 2.7L????? sorry guys not really a 924 guy. The minivan was fast too, when they needed a replacement they specifically asked for a 10.5 second car, to race the van. The van didn't stand a chance because the replacement guy was a real pro, he didn't **** and moan like most of them, he just raced. I wish they would post the times to the PINKS website
