Lightbulb Buyers guide to 924 Turbo

Hi folks,

Just hopped across from the 964 Forum to ask a few questions, if anyone can help,

I am looking to buy a 924 to prep up as a Track car and am going to look at a 924 Turbo tomorrow which I believe is a 1983 / 84 model - it has had a new gearbox fitted - seats have all been re-covered at a cost of £800.00 , New wishbones and suspension fitted , new carpets and sound deadening supplied as interior is incomplete ( unfinished project ). Obviously I will not be needing the interior as will be stripping out for weight etc. Car has covered 94,000 miles.
Query is what would you expect to pay for an example like this and also what will I need to look out for mechanically when I go to look at the vehicle ??

Many thanks for your assistance

You might be able to get some better sense of UK 931 values over at www.924board.org...

ok now that i am over drewling at your avatar pic. As far a a track car you might want to go for a later 924S as it has almost as much power as a 924 Turbo without the reliability problems of the turbo. It also has newer breaking and suspention technology. But the turbos are cool looking though IMO I think for a track car you might be better off with a 924S.
